SCANNED INVOICE & BILLS OF LADING POLICY

With the introduction to more advanced technologies and the want to stay efficient and reduce costs, many of our trucking companies are beginning to scan various bills of lading and delivery receipts.
Bigelow Truck Brokers, Inc. requires the original bills of lading to be sent with your invoice - photocopies or faxed copies are not acceptable. However, in light of the changes that are taking place throughout the transportation industry we have adopted the following policy with regards to our acceptance of scanned bills, invoices and other documentation.
ALL SCANNED BILLS MUST BE:
One sided On a white 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of paper The same shape and size of the original document (do not enlarge or reduce the size) Not set up for Quick Pay The Scan MUST be CLEARLY legible .
A signed "Scanned Bills of Lading Application" must be signed and faxed back to our office. This document needs only be signed once and will be retained in our office. You may change your preference at any time by emailing your request to kim@bigelowtruckbrokers.com.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
If we receive scanned documents that fail to meet any of these requirements, your invoice and documents will be returned to you. Please note that this means that your invoice was NOT processed nor was it set up for payment and you will need to resubmit your invoice and bills again.
